Federico **Bribiesca Argomedo**, (IEEE S'08-M'14) was born in Zamora, Michoacán, Mexico. He obtained his B.S. in Mechatronics Engineering from the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education (ITESM) in Monterrey, Mexico with highest honors (Mención Honorífica de Excelencia). He obtained his M.Sc. in Control Systems from Grenoble INP in Grenoble, France with high honors (mention Très Bien) and his Ph.D. in Control Systems from the Université de Grenoble working on the safety factor profile control of a tokamak plasma under the supervision of [Christophe Prieur](http://www.google.com/url?q=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.gipsa-lab.grenoble-inp.fr%2F~christophe.prieur%2Findex.html&sa=D&sntz=1&usg=AFQjCNGaxLsluNaj2Dcr4hzrAhGJf1e1Uw) and [Emmanuel Witrant](http://www.google.com/url?q=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.gipsa-lab.grenoble-inp.fr%2F~e.witrant%2F&sa=D&sntz=1&usg=AFQjCNGkIm2Yak6fhRBdp397sYvaXuVWVg) (see video [here](https://www.google.com/url?q=https%3A%2F%2Fgricad.univ-grenoble-alpes.fr%2Fvideo%2Finfinite-dimensional-control-and-input-state-stability-safety-factor-profile-tokamak&sa=D&sntz=1&usg=AFQjCNE14KRM7vDgkbaP3iGwcQ4kNi4p_A)).For two years, he was a Postdoctoral Scholar with the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at UC San Diego under the supervision of Professor [Miroslav Krstic](http://www.google.com/url?q=http%3A%2F%2Fflyingv.ucsd.edu&sa=D&sntz=1&usg=AFQjCNFgfSgyWlZy8rlnJEcWUco7pQr0Gg).
