Présentation

Fabrice Schmidt is a full professor at higher national school of mines of Albi, part of the Mines-Telecom Institute (IMT). His research activities, located at the crossroads of polymers and composites processing, radiation heat transfer, numerical modelling, are carried out within the Clément Ader-Albi (ICA-Albi) institute, a research laboratory focused on the study of structures, systems, and mechanical processes. Infrared heating modelling using ray tracing method is one of his major interests. Additionally, he promoted the use of the boundary element method to simulate liquid composite infusion, heat transfer. He is co-author of 173 publications, including journals, conference papers and book chapters on “Polymer Processing Optimization” and “Infrared Radiation Applied to Polymer Processes”. He has organized or chaired different mini symposia at international conferences such as NUMIFORM, ESAFORM; PPS, AMPT, ESDA (ASME).
