###### **Researcher (CRCN) INRAE** Date of Birth: 2/04/1983 I am working in the lab "[Plant Reproduction and Development](https://www.ens-lyon.fr/RDP/)" in the team "[Hormonal signals](https://www.ens-lyon.fr/RDP/signalisation-hormonale-et-developpement/?lang=en)". I am a plant developmental biologist interested in how the **robustness of morphogenesis and cell differentiation** is controlled across different scales during development and growth. My main working system is the **shoot apical meristem** of the model plant *Arabidopsis thaliana*, which is responsible for the generation of all above-ground part of the plant: leaves, stems, branches, flowers, fruits... My favorite developmental processes are **phyllotaxis** (the geometrical arragement of leaves and fruits around shoots) and **early organogenesis** from stem cells to produce flower or leaf (bract). I am using and developping **quantitative approaches** in genetics, genomics, confocal-microscope live imaging or macroscopic phenotyping to characterize the different factors that canalize development into reproducible shapes and patterns or, conversely, explain the origin of consistent phenotypic variations. Among these different factors, I give a particular focus on **hormonal signalling** (auxin, cytokinin, gibberellins) which are known important inter-cellular signals and is a strong expertise in my team. I am also using **forward genetics** to discover new genetic regulator without *a priori*, especially among natural genetic variations, which provides real examples of the evolution of genetic robustness in **natural populations**.
