Since 2016, Ernesto Exposito is Full Professor at Université de Pau et des Pays de l'Adour and head of the Cyber Physical Systems Architectures team at the LIUPPA Research Laboratory. Between 2006 and 2016, he worked as Associate Professor at INSA Toulouse and researcher at LAAS/CNRS in Toulouse, France. In 2004, he worked as Researcher at the National ICT Australia Limited (NICTA) research center in Sydney, Australia.
In 2010, he earned the "Habilitation à diriger des recherches" from the Institut National Polytechnique de Toulouse. In 2003, he earned his PhD in “Informatique et Télécommunications” from the Institut National Polytechnique de Toulouse, France. In 1994, he earned the engineer degree in computer science from the "Universidad Centro-occidental Lisandro Alvarado" (Venezuela).
He has served as chairman and member for many Program Committees. He has participated and coordinated various actions in several european and french research projects.
His research interests include scalable, elastic and service-oriented cloud computing platforms enabling integration and smart management of objects, services, resources, data and people (new generation of «Internet of Everything» or IoE). His research axis are Autonomic Architectures, IoE Integration Platforms, Model-driven self-management. Research application domains are Industry 4.0, Extended Enterprises, and Autonomic Connected Cyber-physical Systems.
He is author of more than 100 publications including 4 books, 6 book chapters, 30 international journals and more than 66 international conference papers.
