Éric Naim-Gesbert is professor of Environmental Law and Philosophy of Law at the University Toulouse 1 Capitole (since 2016) and Scientific Director of the Revue Juridique de l'Environnement (Lavoisier, since 2013). He received his Doctorate (Ph.D) in environmental law from the Lyon 3 Jean Moulin University. He was awarded the National AFDRU-SFDE thesis Prize 1997. He was a “maître de conférences” (associate professor) and then full professor at the University of La Réunion (1997-2012) and at the University of Paris XIII-Sorbonne Paris Cité (2012-2016). He has been an academic expert for the United Nations (UNITAR, Environmental Law Programme, 2004-2009). He is the founder and director of the Master’s degree in Environmental Law and he currently head of the research unit on Public Patrimonial Law at the Maurice Hauriou Institute (University Toulouse 1 Capitole).
