### Eric Collet, ### professor of Physics ### The Institute of Physics of Rennes, mixed research unit [CNRS ](http://blogperso.univ-rennes1.fr/eric.collet/www.cnrs.fr/)- [University Rennes 1](http://www.univ-rennes1.fr/). **I develop research projects around photoinduced phase transitions and the photo-control of materials on ultra-short time-scales. In the lab, we are performing structural studies (x-ray diffraction and photo-crystallography) and we combine femtosecond optical experiments to ultrafast x-ray studies performed on synchrotron and X-FEL.**
