Elena Veronica Belmega


E. Veronica Belmega was born in Fagaras, Romania. She received the M.Sc. (engineer diploma) from the University Politehnica of Bucharest, Romania, in 2007. In 2005-2006, she studied applied mathematics at Ecole Polytechnique, Palaiseau, France as part of the International Socrates/Erasmus Exchange Program.  She obtained the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees, both from the Université Paris-Sud 11, France, in 2007 and 2010 respectively.  In 2010-2011, she  was a post-doctoral researcher in a joint project between Princeton University, N.J., USA and the Alcatel-Lucent Chair on Flexible Radio in Supélec, France. Since Sep. 2011, she has been an assistant professor (maître de conférences) with ENSEA graduate school, Cergy-Pontoise, France. She is curently on a sabbatical research leave (délégation) at Inria, Grenoble, France (Sep. 2015-Aug. 2017) in the MESCAL/POLARIS teams.  In 2009, she was one of the ten recipients of the L’Oréal – UNESCO – French Academy of Science national fellowship, France: "For young women doctoral candidates in science".
