Présentation

Social anthropologist Research fellow, CNRS, CNE, UMR 8562, Marseille Email: eve.bureau-point@cnrs.fr Eve Bureau-Point conducts her work in France and South-East Asia on human and environmental health. She conducted specific researches on the circulation, use and interpretation of biomedical knowledge and technologies: the mobilization of 'expert patients' in the HIV epidemic, the consumption of colostrum in maternal health, the social lives of pharmaceuticals, the role of informal caregivers in palliative care. She is currently carrying new researches on health and environment. Since she witnessed in Cambodia a growing concern toward pesticides in agriculture, food and the environment, she has been studying the contaminated life and the social construction of the environmental health problems at the different steps of pesticides' circulation (daily life, distribution, regulation, persistence in the environment).
