Denis MOTTET


How do we control our movements in space & time? What theory can guide the modeling of such a control? How can we use this knowledge to improve human health? I address these questions using (optimal) control theory and dynamical systems theory to shed light on data from behavioural experiments on healthy humans pushed at their limits (speed, accuracy, fatigue). Most of my research time is now devoted to upper-limb rehabilitation using digital technologies to improve recovery after stroke.
