Présentation
Daniel Juvé is Professor Emeritus at the Ecole Centrale de Lyon (ECL) in France, and works in the Center for Acoustic Research of ECL, which is part of the Fluid Mechanics and Acoustics Laboratory (LMFA, UMR CNRS 5509). An alumnus of Ecole centrale de Lyon, and holding a degree of Docteur ès Sciences of the University of Lyon, he joined ECL as a Professor in 1989, after having worked in the University Lyon 1 as an Assistant Professor. He was the Head of the Center for Acoustic Research from 1994 to 2004 and of the Laboratory of Excellence CeLyA (Centre Lyonnais d’Acoustique) from 2001 to 2017.
His main research interests focus on noise generation by unsteady flows and propagation of acoustic waves in non-homogeneous and random fluids, with application to sound propagation in the atmosphere. He has authored or co-authored more than 60 papers in refereed journals and more than 150 conference papers.
A Fellow of the Acoustical Society of America and an Associate Fellow of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, he is the recipient of the 2001 Grand Prix Alexandre Joannidès of the French National Academy of Sciences, of the 2011 Medal of the French Acoustical Society and the 2017 Aeroacoustics Award of the Council of European Aerospace Societies.
He is currently a member of the Editorial Board of the International Journal of Aeroacoustics.
