Clara Bouveresse est maîtresse de conférences en études anglophones à l'Université d'Evry/Paris Saclay. Docteure en histoire de l'art de l'université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne et spécialiste de photographie, elle a publié à partir de sa thèse *Histoire de l’agence Magnum. L’art d’être photographe* (Flammarion). En 2017, elle était commissaire associée de *Magnum Manifesto*, l’exposition organisée pour l’anniversaire des 70 ans de l’agence par Clément Chéroux à l’International Center of Photography de New York, et co autrice du catalogue l'accompagnant (Thames&Hudson, Actes Sud). En 2019, elle était commissaire de l'exposition *Unretouched Women. Eve Arnold, Abigail Heyman, Susan Meiselas*, présentée au festival des Rencontres de la Photographie d'Arles, avec un catalogue publié par Actes Sud. Elle a également publié dans la collection Photo Poche les trois volumes consacrés aux femmes photographes (Actes Sud, Thames&Hudson, 2020) et *Photographies au saut du lit* (2023). Avec Isabella Seniuta et Guillaume Blanc, elle était commissaire en 2020-2021 de l'exposition *Gilles Caron. Un monde imparfait,* avec un catalogue publié par Le Point du Jour.
Clara Bouveresse is an associate professor at the University of Evry/Paris Saclay. She holds a PhD from Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne university. A photography specialist, she published with Flammarion her doctoral research on the history of Magnum Photos' cooperative. In 2017, she was the associate curator of the *Magnum Manifesto* exhibition, organized by Clément Chéroux on the occasion of the agency's 70 anniversary at the International Center of Photography, New York, and co-authored the accompanying catalogue (Thames&Hudson, Actes Sud). In 2019, she curated the exhibition *Unretouched Women. Eve Arnold, Abigail Heyman, Susan Meiselas* at the Rencontres d'Arles photography festival, with a catalogue published by Actes Sud. She also published in the Photo File collection (Thames&Hudson, Actes Sud) the three volumes dedicated to women photographers and a book of "bedside photographs" (2023). With Isabella Seniuta and Guillaume Blanc, she curated in 2020-2021 the exhibition *Gilles Caron, Un monde imparfait*, with a catalogue published by Le Point du Jour.
