Professor of mathematics didactics at the university Claude Bernard Lyon 1, teacher trainer at the Advanced Institute for Teaching and Education (INSPE) Lyon and vice-director of the Institute for Research in Math Education (IREM)  Lyon. IREM is a place where people from different ways of life dealing with mathematics, popularization and teaching mathematics can meet and work together. There are 28 such institutes in France
