Cecile Swiatek Cassafieres

Cécile Swiatek is Director of the library of the University of Paris Nanterre, France ([https://bu.parisnanterre.fr/](http://scd.parisnanterre.fr/)), Secretary General for the French academic library managers association ([adbu.fr](http://www.adbu.fr)) and a LIBER Board member, the Research Libraries European League ([libereurope.eu](http://www.libereurope.eu)). She is interested in accessible knowledge, information skills, pedagogy and digital innovation in higher education. Member of the Executive Board of the European league of research libraries (libereurope.eu) and SPARCEurope, former Secretary General of the French academic libraries association ADBU (adbu.fr, 2016-2021), she takes a curious and critical look at Open Education issues through her work at [SPARCEurope](https://sparceurope.org/), OERGlobal Francophone and with the UNESCO. From 2020 to 2022, she participated in the French EDUCAUSE delegation. Since 2021, she has been mandated as a permanent national expert on Open Educational Resources (OER) in the French International Open Science Network (ReiSo) for the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation (MESRI). She is an active member at ABF ([abf.asso.fr](http://www.abf.asso.fr)). Before 2021, she acted as deputy director at the Université Paris II Panthéon-Assas academic library in Paris, in France. Particularly involved with pedagogy and HE digital innovation, she was also in charge of Law, Economics, Management and Journalism collections and users’ training at the Paris II university. Before that, she was Collection manager in Medicine Science and Technology and Head of medical and computer science research sections at the BUPMC (now Sorbonne-Université academic library). Since 2006, she has been demonstrating a large interest in collection management, professional skills development, professional training issues and students / researchers / citizens Information Literacy training. Cécile Swiatek est directrice du Service commun de la documentation de l'Université Paris-Nanterre ([https://bu.parisnanterre.fr/](http://scd.parisnanterre.fr/)). Précédemment directrice adjointe à la Bibliothèque de l'université Paris II Panthéon-Assas, elle a également travaillé en sciences dure et médecine (UPMC, Pierre et Marie Curie). Formatrice de professionnels des bibliothèques en formation initiale et continue, elle est chargée du service de formation des usagers à la maîtrise de l’information dans son établissement. Cécile Swiatek est membre de l'Executive Board de LIBER, la Ligue des bibliothèques européennes de recherche ([libereurope.eu](http://www.libereurope.eu)) et de SPARCEurope, et a été membre du Conseil d'administration de l'ADBU ([www.adbu.fr](http://www.adbu.fr)) de 2016 à 2021, comme Responsable de la Commission "Pédagogie et documentation", puis comme Secrétaire générale de l'association. Très active dans le milieu associatif, elle s’intéresse aux questions de gestion de talents, d'acquisition et de développement de compétences, d'innovation numérique dans l'enseignement supérieur, d'apprentissage et de pédagogie. Elle porte un regard curieux et critique sur les questions d'Open Education à travers son action à [SPARCEurope](https://sparceurope.org/), OER Global Francophone et auprès de l'UNESCO. De 2020 à 2022, elle a participé à la délégation française EDUCAUSE. Depuis 2021, elle est mandatée pour une expertise permanente nationale sur les Ressources éducatives libres (REL) dans le cadre du Réseau d'experts internationaux de la Science ouverte (ReiSo) pour le Ministère de l'Enseignement supérieur, de la Recherche et de l'Innovation (MESRI).
