My CV in a nut

I am researcher at Laboratoire Parole et Langage, UMR 7309 CNRS. My research aims at investigating the linguistic, physiological and cognitive constraints underlying the production and perception of prosody. Specifically, I focus on:

  • phonetics/phonology interface in prosody
  • effects of prosodic structure and emotional prosody on physiological parameters
  • individual differences (resulting from cognitive constraints) on prosodic planning
  • prosody in speech pathology
  • I am coordinator of the project RAPP (Representation and Planning of Prosody), which is funded by the National Agency of Research. In this project, the existence of possible cognitive constraints on prosodic planning is determined by comparing data from healthy adults with individuals with working memory disorders, and in particular, with patients affected by multiple sclerosis. Since 2016, I am also associate scholar at Zentrum für Allgemeine Sprachwissenschaft, Berlin.

Domaines : prosody, phonetics, phonology, pathology, psycholinguistics

    Scientific profile

My research interests concern different aspects concerning linguistic and emotional prosody. I have been working on the role of prosodic variability for the identification of pragmatic contrasts; on the role of prosody on speech planning across different populations (healthy adults and patients with neurological disorders); on prosodic imitation; on the relation between acoustic and (psycho)physiological parameters of prosody; and on the interaction between linguistic and emotional prosody. I adopt a laboratory phonology approach, by which my hypotheses are tested trough quantitative and experimental data.
