Présentation

After a training in agricultural engineering specialized in human nutrition, Blandine de Lauzon-Guillain obtained a PhD in nutritional epidemiology in 2006 on the links between eating behavior and obesity. She also acquired experience on type 2 diabetes during a 2-year post doc fellowship on the European project EPIC-InterAct. She was recruited as a research fellow at INSERM in 2011 and then as a research director at INRAE in 2018 to develop a project on the development of eating behavior in childhood and the links between perinatal nutrition and children's health and development. Specifically, she is studying the extent to which following nutritional guidelines during pregnancy and infancy is associated with child health and development. Regarding infant feeding, beyond breastfeeding, she is interested in the composition of infant formulas and the characteristics of complementary feeding. She coordinates the nutrition part of the EDEN and ELFE cohorts. **TRAINING** 2014 Accreditation to supervise research, Université Paris XI 2006 PhD in Public Health, option epidemiology, Université Paris XI 2003 Master “Clinical epidemiology and evaluation of health actions”, Université Nancy I 2002 Engineer in human nutrition, Institut National Agronomique Paris-Grignon **CAREER** March 2018 - present : Research director, INRAE, CRESS, research team on ealry life origins of health. Validation of diabetes cases in the French part of the EPIC cohort (E3n cohort), in collaboration with European partners of the FP7-funded InterAct project. Research on association between nutritional status, menopausal hormon therapy use and incident type 2 diabetes. Sep. 2002 – Oct. 2006 : Master and PhD student, INSERM, U258 supervised by M.A. Charles. Research on eating behaviour and association with weight gain in the general population. Mar – Aug 2002 : Engineer student, AFSSA, Observatoire des Consommations Alimentaires. Research in methodological issues in assessing the prevalence of nutrient inadequacy at the population level.
