The aim of this work is to obtain the most accurate parameters of the characteristic between the electric field E and the current density J. This characteristic is used to predict the behaviour of superconducting materials for use in electrical systems (motors, cables, current limiters, etc.). The modelling of physical phenomena and their numerical simulation are also useful for the design of these systems. **Theme 2**: I’m working on applications of superconductors in electrical engineering. I participate in the development of electric motors using superconducting materials. It takes tests of superconducting cables, simulation of magnetic field distribution in the engine. I worked with Professor Sirois Montreal on the impact of superconducting devices in electrical networks. On these two research topics we have national and international collaborations. At the national level began collaboration with X. Chaud from CRETA in Grenoble and J. Noudem from the Laboratory of Crystallography and Materials Science (CRISMAT) from Caen on the characterization of superconducting tapes and bulks. An international collaboration with Professor F. Sirois of the “Ecole Polytechnique de Montreal” on the characterization of superconductors for application in high power devices has been achieved. I’m working with Professor Sirois on the impact of superconducting devices in electrical networks.I have been between May and August 2011 in Montreal as invited professor with F. Sirois in EPM. I was working as invited Professor between September and December 2012 by the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology to participate in a German project "Ampacity". I'm woking in KIT again from April to June 2022 I participate to collaboration with Frédéric Trillaud from University of Mexico about modeling of superconducting bulks and HTS tape applications. I am a reviewer for international journals, IEEE Transactions on Applied Superconductivity and Physica C. I am editor for IEEE Transactions on Applied Superconductivity In June 2008, I organized an international symposium on modelling of superconducting materials, which Pr. Sirois attended. There were researchers from Canada, Belgium, Switzerland, and Grenoble (France). It is the number zero of the international workshop on numerical modelling of HTS. I’m member of the commission of normalization TC 90 for superconducting devices from “Union Technique de l’Electricité” (French part of International Electrotechnical Commission IEC 61788-13: superconductivity)
