Présentation

She obtained a degree in chemistry at the University Pierre and Marie Curie, Paris VI in 1985. She went on to complete a Ph.D. on the study of the electron deformation density of carbyne chromium complexes in 1989. This was followed by a postdoctoral period at the Laboratoire Léon Brillouin at the CEA Saclay on polarized neutron diffraction on superconductor compounds. After this, she got a permanent position at Ecole Centrale Paris (ECP as merged with Supelec in 1rst January 2015 and is called now CentraleSupelec) as a teaching researcher. She is currently a full professor in the same institution. During the first 20 years, her research activity was mainly based on the experimental determination of the electron and electrostatic properties of molecules of pharmaceutical interest. The high-resolution X-ray diffraction on single crystal method used in her research allows getting a better understanding of the interaction drug – biological target or drug - excipient. The different classes of compounds studied are AINS (aspirin) and anti-leukemic agents (busulfan, cephalotaxine). From a chemical point of view, she has concentrated her efforts on thiosemicarbazide complexes and polyoxovanadates compounds. Last 10 years, she has developed a new nucleation method induced by polarized laser (NPLIN) leading to crystallization control (polymorphism and crystalline quality). This method has been supported through an ANR project between 4 French laboratories she coordinates (490 000 €). She has also got financial support for this method from Institut d’Alembert (ENS Cachan), Cristech (French network on crystallization) Prestige (EU-fund), and CHARMMAT (French laboratories network). She has also obtained in the past, international support programs with Serbia (Pavle Savic and CNRS-MSR). She is scientifically responsible for CentraleSupelec in the CHARMMMAT Labex. She is currently the supervisor of 1 post-doc. Her teaching activity at Ecole Centrale Paris (one of best engineering curricula in France) is mainly focused on the development of new pedagogical methods dedicated to developing students’ skills in project methodology (teamwork, problem-solving, project management…) and to the development of personal skills (communication, leadership, innovation, entrepreneurship, coaching…). She has been co-responsible for the project activity at ECP (1 seminar of 3.5 days, 10\*7 conferences of 1h30, 100 projects, 40 company clients, 1 team of 15 teachers, and about 500 1st year students in ECP). She is now hardly involved in the creation of a new engineer CentraleSupelec curricula for 800 students per year which have begun in September 2018. In the CentraleSupelec curricula she is involved in the APP (Atelier Projet Professionnel) and API (Atelier Pratiques Ingénieur) activities in the management team and as a teacher (animateur) in the 1st and 2nd year. She has developed a delocalized master's degree program in industrial engineering at Belgrade (Serbia) and has been responsible for the project activity (Bachelor project) at Ecole Centrale Pékin, a french-Chinese institution at BeiHang University since November 2008. From 15 May 2012, and for 3 years, she has been Dean of Studies and vice director of Ecole Centrale Pékin. She is actually responsible for the Professor’s school for the abroad campuses (in China, India, Morocco, and Mauritius). She has developed a strong collaboration with Vinca Institute, Faculty of Mining and Geology, Faculty of Physical Chemistry, Faculty of Medicine since 1995 leading to 2/3 of her papers with Serbian researchers. To date, her scientific production can be broken down as follows: 63 articles divided into:1 article in a collective work (O), 50 publications (P) in international peer-reviewed journals referenced in a web of science (Inorg. Chem., Crystal Growth, J. Phys. Chem.), 10 conference proceedings (A), 2 popularization articles (V); 174 conference participations in 24 conferences invited (I), 142 oral or poster communications (C) and 8 invited seminars (S). Her papers have led to 896 citations and an h-factor of 16. I supervised the work of 11 Ph.D. students (1 drop out for reasons medical). She has been the President of the teachers association of the Ecole Centrale Paris. She has been an elective member of the board of ECP, and a regular member of the ECPk board. She has been named “Chevalier” of “Palmes Académiques” in September 2009 and “officier” in September 2016. She has received an award for an outstanding contribution at ECPk from the Chinese First Ministry Ms. LIU Yandong and the French Ministery of International affairs Mr. Laurent Fabius in Beijing (15 May 2015). She has four children and three grant-children.
