Research activities

  • During my PhD I studied the genetic determinants of wheat tolerance to nitrogen deficiency under the supervision of Jacques Le Gouis and Florence Devienne-Barret (at the UMR SADV of Estrées-Mons and at the UMR "Environnement et Grandes Cultures" of Grignon). In 2006, I was recruited as associate professor at AGROCAMPUS OUEST (now an internal school of the institut Agro) and I started research projects within the team "Yield under Abiotic Constraints". These works aimed at understanding the genetic determinants of nitrogen use efficiency in rapeseed (in particular within the framework of the RAPSODYN future investment project: as well as the genetoype x environment interactions and more particularly the response to combinations of abiotic stresses experienced in the field. Since 2020, I develop projects on the analysis of vigor (from germinative vigor to seedling vigor) and study the importance of the varietal lever and its interaction with the cultural practices (and in particular intercropping with legumes).

Teaching activities

  • At Institut agro-AGROCAMPUS OUEST, I am responsible for the training of M2 students in "Genetics and Plant Breeding" and co-leader of the M1 of the Master in "Plant Improvement, Production and Valorization", co-accredited with the University of Rennes 1

  • member of the Scientific Council of the CTPS and of member the commission "Rapeseed and other Crucifers"
  • member of the Scientific Council of the PNRI (National Plan of Research and Innovation) "Finding alternative solutions to neonicotinoids for sugar beet"
  • Co-responsible for the "Seeds for Tomorrow" chair created within the framework of the AGROCAMPUS OUEST foundation with SEMAE.
