As a PhD-student in social anthropology at the School for Advanced Studies in the Social Sciences (EHESS, Marseille, France ; doctoral fellowhship 2016-2019) within the Centre Norbert Elias, Anaïs Martin works on the experience of sperm donor conceived adults in France and in the UK. She focuses on the connections created by donation, both within donor conceived families and with th additional figures of donors and donor siblings. Her research falls within the scope of new kinship studies (pluriparenting), anthropology of the body and personhood, and gender studies.
She is a member and co-founder of the research group EnCoRe. She is also part of the 3-year research project funded by the French National Agency for Research (ANR) Origines, as well as the research-project INFODON, funded by the French Agency of Biomedicine.
