Scientific profile
My main project is to understand how pluripotency is established in the mammalian embryo and how it is controlled at the molecular and epigenetic levels. I have an internationally recognized expertise and more than 20 papers in mammalian embryo development and pluripotency in mammalian species. I have developed and used several approaches such as high throughput analyses (transcriptome and epigenome), cell biology and imaging, and in vitro derivation of cell lines from epiblast and trophoblast.
