I am a medical anthropologist working mainly on social aspects of infectious diseases (from vulnerability to response, pharmaceuticals and preparedness, patients' experience to community and health system resilience, HIV/AIDS and Ebola) in West Africa (Guinea, Senegal, Burkina Faso).
My research unit is TransVIHMI (Translational Research on HIV and Infectious Diseases, IRD/INSERM/University of Montpellier) at Institut de Recherche pour le Développement (French Research Institute for Sustainable Development).
Previously a Professor of Anthropology at Aix-Marseille University, I am Directrice de Recherche (Senior Researcher) based in Montpellier (France).
