Ahmed MAALEL has a PhD in Computer Science. He is currently assistant professor at Higher Institute of Applied Science and Technology of Sousse ([ISSATSo](http://www.google.com/url?q=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.issatso.rnu.tn%2F&sa=D&sntz=1&usg=AFQjCNGoYXo8TqaPeHVGQyGcvNvfrkBchw)), [University of Sousse](http://www.google.com/url?q=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.uc.rnu.tn&sa=D&sntz=1&usg=AFQjCNEToTyRoOA4i1tYiBO9KfPxjuY7bw), Tunisia. He is a Researcher at [RIADI laboratory](http://www.google.com/url?q=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.riadi.rnu.tn&sa=D&sntz=1&usg=AFQjCNF0Goz-ul3cjt79VYYO7j8koYzNvQ), National School of Computer Sciences ([ENSI](http://www.google.com/url?q=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ensi.rnu.tn%2F&sa=D&sntz=1&usg=AFQjCNHjvObfQD-isrHz0Rc9-zVORyCD8A) Tunisia). His research interests are related to these topics: Machine Learning, Support Decision Systems, Knowledge Management and Semantic Web. He served as technical chair, TPC member and reviewer for many leading international CS conferences and journals. He is IEEE Senior Member and Co-Founder and President of Association of Scientific Research and Innovation in Computer Science [ARSII](http://www.google.com/url?q=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.arsii.org&sa=D&sntz=1&usg=AFQjCNHEy1c9najc8OQUzDVhTzt5RzF-zQ).

Since February 2019, he has been appointed by the scientific council of the University of Sousse, head of the projects unit, and since then he has been a member of a strategy think thank committee of the University.
