Abderrezak Rachedi


Abderrezak RACHEDI (S'05, M'09, SM'15) is currently working as full professor (Professeur des Universités) at the university Paris-Est Marne-la-Vallée (UPEM) and a member of the Gaspard Monge Computer Science laboratory (LIGM CNRS UMR 8049) since September 2018. He was Associate Professor between 2009 and 2018 at Paris-Est University. He received his Habilitation to Direct Researsh (HDR: Habilitation à diriger des recherches) from Paris-Est University in Dec. 2015, and his PhD degree in computer science from the university of Avignon in France in 2008. He received his research MS degree in computer science from the University of Savoie in France in 2003.  He is author or co-author of more than 100 publications in international journals, and conferences.

His research interests lie in the field of wireless networking, Internet of Thing (IoT), Internet of Vehicules (IoV), wireless multi-hop networks: wireless sensor networks (WSN), vehicular ad hoc networks (VANET), Machine-to-Machine communication (M2M), quality of services (QoS), security mechnisms with QoS. He participated or still participates to several national and international research projects.  

Dr Rachedi serves as Associate Editor of IEEE ACCESSSecurity and Privacy (SPY) Wiley journal, Wireless Communications and Mobile Computing (WCMC) journal and International Journal of Communication Systems (IJCS) since 2011. He served as Guest Editor of some special issue for  IEEE Journal on Selected Areas In Communications: Series On Network Softwarization & Enablers,  Elsevier Ad hoc Networks, and IEEE Access. He also served on the Editorial Boards of Journal of Computer Systems, Networks, and Communications (JCSNC). He has been on the technical program committee of different ACM and IEEE conferences, including Globecom, ICC, WiMob, WCNC, IWCMC and chaired some of their sessions. Dr Rachedi is an IEEE Senior member.
