Abderrezak RACHEDI (S'05, M'09, SM'15) is currently working as associate professor (maître de conférences) at the university Paris-Est Marne-la-Vallée (UPEM) and a member of the Gaspard Monge Computer Science laboratory (LIGM CNRS UMR 8049) since september 2008. He received his Habilitation to Direct Researsh (HDR: Habilitation à diriger des recherches) from Paris-Est University in Dec. 2015, and his PhD degree in computer science from the university of Avignon in France in 2008. He received his research MS degree in computer science from the University of Savoie in France in 2003, and his engineer degree in computer science from the university of technology and science H. B. -USTHB- (Algiers, Algeria) in 2002. He received his PES (Prime d'Excellence Scientifique) in 2013. He is author or co-author of more than 70 publications in international journals, and conferences.
His research interests lie in the field of wireless networking, wireless multi-hop networks: wireless sensor networks (WSN), vehicular ad hoc networks (VANET), Internet of things (IoT), Machine-to-Machine communication (M2M), quality of services (QoS), security mechnisms with QoS. He participated or still participates to several national and international research projects. Among them ANR CLADIS (2006 - 2009), Super BQR MWSN (2009 - 2010), Digiteo ViSuNet (2010 - 2013), PPS WSNTM (2011 - 2014).
Dr Rachedi serves as Associate Editor of IEEE ACCESS, Wireless Communications and Mobile Computing (WCMC) journal and International Journal of Communication Systems (IJCS) since 2011. He served as Guest Editor of some special issue for Elsevier Ad hoc Networks, and IEEE Access. He also served on the Editorial Boards of Journal of Computer Systems, Networks, and Communications (JCSNC). He has been on the technical program committee of different ACM and IEEE conferences, including Globecom, ICC, WiMob, WCNC, IWCMC and chaired some of their sessions. Dr Rachedi is an IEEE Senior member.
