PhD in Geography, Hydraulics and Environment Engineer
**Research interests**
- River dynamics as a complex system and ecosystem: experience based on fieldwork data collection, analysis and modeling of the processes involved. Expertise is especially developed on coupling hydrological and sediment fluxes to assess the morphodynamics of highly dynamic river systems.
- Human impacts on river systems: international experience developed on rivers highly impacted by human infrastructures such as dams, bank protections or longitudinal profile stabilization. Expertise on the consequence of human-induced flash floods (dams, impervious watershed), for instance by studying alpine catchments impacted by hydropower plants (dams and flow diversion infrastructures).
- River management: expertise based on a multi-disciplinary and transversal approach of the river system. Multiple spatial and temporal scales are necessary to develop relevant river management keys in agreement with both local and general requirements of the river system (maintenance of the quality of the ecosystem, flood and sediment fluxes management, hydropower issues…).
- Metrology: contribution to the methodological development of gravel tracking in rivers (Radio Frequency Identification: RFID), and to the coupling of field data (topography, hydrology, sediment tracking) and 3D modeling of the flow geometry.
